Florida teen arrested after returning to crime scene to get boyfriend’s Gucci sandals

A Florida man in the making. After committing a home burglary, a 16-year-old Florida teenager was arrested while trying to retrieve his friend’s Gucci sandals.

While a homeowner was playing golf behind his house on Sunday, he noticed two bicycles in the back of his house and a torn window screen.

MPs say the victim returned home to assess the situation.

When he arrived he noticed his room was a mess and the air conditioning unit was out. At this point, his golf partner saw two subjects wearing hoodies come out the front door.

The victim and his golf partner got into his truck and started following a suspect wearing a black hoodie and carrying a black bag down Morley Street. After turning onto Midway Boulevard, they lost sight of him.

However, when the victim turned around, she saw the other suspect wearing a navy blue hoodie running between his house and the neighbors.

MPs say the suspect then jumped on a bicycle and took off through the backlots.

While speaking with neighbors, they told MPs one of the suspects approached him, claiming he was interrupted by the husband of someone he had a relationship with and needed to be led out of. of the area.

The neighbor refused and the suspect jumped a 4-foot fence and ran away on his bike again. The neighbor then contacted the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

The first suspect returned and knocked on a neighbor’s door in an attempt to retrieve the second suspect’s Gucci sandals.

At that time, he was notified that the police had been called. The miner then fled the area a second time.

In addition to MPs roaming the area, K9 was called, leading MPs to the suspect.

Davion Lowery, 16, was at the intersection of Alton Road and Sheehan Boulevard, a few blocks from where the crime happened.

After questioning Lowery, he was taken into custody and transported to Charlotte County Jail on the following counts:

  • Burglary of unoccupied housing without weapons
  • Grand Theft property Between $ 100 and $ 300 for housing

Lowery recently moved to the area and is currently on probation for burglary outside of Desoto County.

As of yet, the second suspect involved in this crime has not been located.

“We ask the public to contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 941-639-0013 for any information,” CCSO said in a blog post.

It was determined that the miners were targeting several guns that were inside the house. They escaped with ammunition and electronics which were later located in the black bag next to a trash can next to a house on Morley Street.
