List of things that “crook” Sukesh Chandrasekhar gave Jacqueline Fernandez
A few days after the Directorate of Execution (ED) summoned Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez as part of her ongoing investigation into a Rs 200 crore money laundering case linked to con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar, it is now reported that the alleged “crook” showered his alleged lover with extravagant gifts, which got her in trouble.
According to the ED indictment, Fernandez said he received three designer bags from Gucci and Chanel, two Gucci outfits for sportswear.
The ED indictment also states that Fernandez also received a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and a multi-colored stone bracelet, two Hermès bracelets and a Mini Cooper which she returned.
Fernandez said Chandrasekhar also arranged private jet trips for her.
Thursday last week, the ED interviewed Jacqueline for the second consecutive day in connection with the investigation.
The actress had spent about eight hours at the agency’s office on Wednesday while being questioned and her statement recorded in multiple sessions under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The list of gifts:
Arabian horse worth Rs 52 lakh,
Three Persian cats ARE WORTH Rs 9 lakh
Three designer bags from Gucci and Chanel
Two Gucci outfits
Pair of Louis Vuitton shoes
Two pairs of diamond earrings
Multicolored stone bracelet
Two Hermès bracelets
Fernandez was grilled by the ED at least twice earlier this year in this case, August 30 and October 20.
The agency suspects her of being a “beneficiary” of the proceeds of crime allegedly generated by Chandrashekhar by defrauding and extorting money from prominent figures.
A spokesperson for the actor had said earlier that she was testifying before the agency as a witness.
Jacqueline Fernandez is called to testify as a witness by the ED. She has duly recorded her statements and will also cooperate with the agency in the future in investigations.
“Jacqueline also categorically denies the alleged defamatory statements made about the relationship with the couple involved,” the spokesperson said in a statement in October.
On December 5, the ED arrested Fernandez at Mumbai airport and banned him from flying abroad. He asked her to stay in the country as she might be brought in to join the investigation.
